Christmas Eve

Chef Chris put together an unusual and fun - and affordable - menu for December 24. The Spirits of Christmas Eve menu takes you on a journey through antiquated, current and futuristic cuisine. Choose one item from each ghost,

$35 per person.

This menu is by reservation only so make sure to call early to get a spot.

Ghost of Christmas past

• Prawn cocktail with blue crab, shaved lettuce and cocktail sauce
• Bibb lettuce salad, five minute egg in aspic, poached potatoes, buttered turnips and stewed chicken
• Roman Style tripe stew with grilled bread

Ghost of Christmas present

• Confit pork cheeks with cabbage, apples, pork rinds, pork apple jus
• Olive oil poached cod with crispy turnips, braised greens, meyer lemon licorice puree, and saffron broth
• Ricotta and black radish crostada with walnuts, mushroom-balsamic reduction, watercress salad

Ghost of Christmas Future

• Apocalypse cake- warm chocolate cake with nutella “dirt”, strawberry puree, olive oil gelato, and crushed almonds
• Pineapple cake with lychee ice cream, basil seeds, and “fortune cookie”

Amuse bouche

First
Wagyu beef tartar with truffle crème fraiche, quail egg, herb salad and grilled bread
or
Chilled mussels on toast with shaved fennel, dandelion green pesto, pickled red onions, and garlic chips
or
Kabocha squash purses, with black vinegar reduction, fried shallots, and stewed leeks
or
Foie gras torchon, almond crumble, brioche, sour cherry chutney, celery leaves, and cranberry leather  (supplement for 10 dollars)

 

Seconds
Jamón consommé with morcilla ravioli, celery root, carrots, pearl onions, truffles, and herb puree
or
Watermelon radish salad with snow peas, sunflower seeds, cara cara oranges, radish-basil pesto, and chili oil
or
Cotechino with Umbrian lentil vinaigrette, radicchio, bacon, red onions and dried fruit mostarda

 

Thirds
Lobster with potato gnocchi, bone marrow, pomodoraccio tomatoes, chervil, and finished with butter and lobster sauce
or
Tea smoked duck breast with pear salad, watercress, wild mushroom chutney, and duck jus
or
Confit pork short ribs, baby carrots, vadouvan spiced squash puree, brussel sprouts and pork glaze
or
Chanterelle mushroom gnocchi, with truffled cream, chestnuts, bitter greens, and fontina cheese
or
Ribeye steak for two with house made tater tots, Fourme d’Ambert-peppercorn butter, creamed chard, and bordelaise  (supplement 20 dollars for one)

 

Fourth
Dulce de leche bread pudding with popcorn ice cream and caramel corn
or
Chocolate bombé with raspberry preserves, chocolate Génoise cake, raspberry poprocks, and raspberry coulis
